USSSA Fresh Dairy Games: St. Noa, Rines, Taggy off the mark in Wakiso Qualifiers

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana embarked on their journey to regain their lost glory in Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Wakiso Region girls football qualifiers.

The five time champions St. Noa have gone two years without a winning the Wakiso Region championship since 2022, putting an end to their five year back to back.

Kamiyat Naigaga, Mary Ayugi, Sumayiah Nalumu and Nancy Mandela were on target for St. Noa in their 4-0 win against Makerere SS in the opener.

In the second game, St. Noa beat Kakungulu High School 4-0. Sylvia Kabene grabbed a hat-trick and a goal by Kamiyat Naigaga for St. Noa.

Holders Taggy High School also got off the mark in their day one game against God Cares. The tie ended 2-0 in favor of the reigning champions.

Zaituni Namaganda and Sharifah Nakigudde were on target for Taggy.

Potential champions Rines SS scored ten (10) goals in their two games on day one.

They beat St. Charles Lwanga 8-0 in the opener before their 2-0 victory over Fairway High School in their last game.

Elsewhere, Moreen Kubusingye scored a hat-trick in Standard High School-Zana’s 3-0 win against Trinity College Nabingo.

Meanwhile, Alliance thumped Bulenga Vocational 5-0. Lydia Nakiyingi, Doreen Nakazibwe (OG), Jemimah Mbabazi Nakato, Immaculate Komuhimbo and Mary Katusiime scored for Alliance.

Kings Way won 1-0 against Nanziga Parents. Shivan Owembabazi scored the only goal of the game.
