Kitara FC forward Denis Omedi scooped the Fortebet Real Stars monthly Sports award of February in the football category.

Omedi was crowned on Tuesday, 5th March at Lazio Bar and Restaurant in Kololo, Kampala during the monthly awarding Ceremony.

Omedi beat competition from KCCA FC forward Muhammad Shaban and NEC FC defender Joseph Dhata.

The Kitara forward (Omedi) scored six goals in five games in both the league and Uganda Cup.

His goals contributed to Kitara’s move to the top of Uganda Premier League table with a record 39 points.

Despite falling shot to the accolade, defender Joseph Dhata scored same six goals in five games in both Uganda Cup and league compared to Muhammad Shaban’s  four goals in five games in both Uganda Cup and league.

In the rugby category, Emilly Lekuru was named winner. She beat a stiff competition against Ivan Kitabo and Cyrus Wathum.

The Black Pearls winger scored a total of 90 points in the month of February for her side to keep them unbeaten in the women’s top tier division. Currently, Black Pearls stand top of the league log with 25 points.

Dauglas Mulalira was  Kabadi player of February. He beat two other nominees  A net Kirembe and Rose Nankumba.

Mulalira was the best rider in the Uganda Kabaddi Champions League with 127 Rides Points.

His performance guided his side Superior Kabaddi Club to emerge as Champions with 26 tackles. He was also the MVP in the men’s category.

The rally category was won by Jas Mangat. He beat competition from Hassan Alwi and Jonas Kansiime.

The Piri Piri team leader co-driven by Enock Olinga were champions of the Mbarara Rally after covering in 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 23 seconds with a commanding lead of 9 minutes and 57 seconds.
