Just like before, the former Spartans FC president Kiwanuka awarded the 2023 Masaza Cup final hero Johnson Ssenyonga with  100 USD after the final.

“Football requires a lot of things to flourish. Football needs money, moral support and a technical hand. If we join efforts to support talent in different aspects of everyone’s ability, we have a future.

I give money to exceptional payers to motivate the young players and this is how we shall make the new Onyangos, Omondis and the Obuas of this world.

Football gave me the opportunity to study, I have made friends and money through it. The only way to appreciate it is to motivate and promote more talents in any way through schools, league and Masaza”.

The 100 USD recipient Ssenyonga scored a long range beauty 71 minutes into the game to inspire Bulemeezi to a 1-0 win over record champions Gomba at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku last Saturday.

“We promised Ugandans to deliver a finished facility in seven years. It’s one down the road and three phases are done.

We identified the place, bought the land of about 25 acres and levelling is done.

We have the plan approved and next is construction. In six years ahead, this facility will be in use”. Kiwanuka said.

Onto the 25 acres of land, Kiwanuka plans a facility having a leisure park, hostels, others games like basketball, netball, volleyball and a football training pitch outside.

Sports enthusiast-cum-businessman Sulaiman Kiwanuka  also extended his philanthropic hands towards football development in Nakifuma sub-county, Mukono district in 2021.
