In a stunning turn of events, International Business, Science And Technology University (ISBAT) secured their first-ever Pepsi University Football League victory in the final group A match.

The Lugogo bypass-based university triumphed over Busitema University with a convincing 4-1 scoreline on Wednesday at Busitema University grounds.

The hosts initially took the lead through Dinya Joseph’s goal in the second minute.

However, ISBAT’s captain, Ssentongo Joshua, equalized six minutes before the break, ending the first half in a stalemate.

The visitors gained momentum in the second half, with Kalema Ashraf scoring in the 62nd minute to give ISBAT the lead.

Jogolo Yahaya further extended their advantage with a headed goal in the 78th minute.

In added time, Katende Bahiira sealed the victory with ISBAT’s fourth goal.

Meanwhile, in another group A fixture, defending champions Nkumba University and IUIU played out a goalless draw.

ISBAT, who joined the prestigious league last season, failed to win any matches.

However, this season, they managed to accumulate four points in group A.

The final group A standings saw IUIU at the top with 12 points, followed by Nkumba University with 11 points, Busitema University with 6 points, and ISBAT with 4 points.
