FUFA Odilo: Rays of Grace in quest for third title after semi-final berth

Rays of Grace Junior School have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2024 FUFA Odilo Primary Schools Championship.

Despite a poor start failing 5-1 to Kampala representative on day one, Buganda region representatives reorganised themselves and defeated Northern (3-0) and Eastern (6-0) on day 2 and 3 respectively to reach semi-finals.

The two time champions topped Group B with six points while their semi-final pairing St. Catherine were Group A runners-up with 4 points.

In the semi finals, the 1st and 2nd edition champions (Rays of Grace) will face off with Kitara region representative St. Catherine of Siena Primary School on Wednesday 20th at FUFA Technical Centre.

In the second semi-final, Oasis Primary School will battle St. Mary’s Primary on the same day.

Oasis Primary School topped Group A with 7 points. Their semi-final opponent St. Mary’s Primary School finished second in Group B.

Maganda Yowasi and Kawuma Douglas both of Rays of Grace top the top scorers’ log with 5 and 4 goals respectively.

The final will be played on Thursday, the 21st November at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
