Despite ending goalless, the Muganzirwazza tie between Busiro and hosts Mawokota produced the greatest entertainment on a cold evening.

The 0-0 draw was held at Buwama Grounds on the evening of Sunday, the 6th August 2023.

Both sides were too wasteful and a couple of chances especially in the final stanza went begging with each side hitting the woodwork twice.

The draw elevated both sides as Richard Malinga’s coached Mawokota stepped up to the 2nd position on nine behind leaders Gomba on 11.

Gomba beat Islanders Ssese 3-1 at Lutoboka on Saturday evening. Allan Oyirwoth, Aron Mutebi and Viane Benon Kigenyi scored for the all time champions Gomba whilst Conrad Ssenjogera netted for Ssese

Mawogola who was at the top of the table before weekend games dropped to the 3rd place after losing 2-1 to Kabula. Alfred ejoye (Mawogola), Adda Isaac Julius Ronald Turyamusiima were on target for Kabula in a three goal thriller.

Ssese is 4th , tied on eight (8) points with 3rd placed Mawogola who have a better goal difference.

Ssingo beat Bugerere 1-0 on the road to Ntenjeru. Yusuf Mukwano scored the only goal of the game.

Kkooki have suffered a 0-3 defeat to Buddu at their home. Pius Ssebulime, Isaac Ofoyrwoth and George Isingoma were on target for Buddu.

This very evening, Butambala and Bulemezi shared spoils at Nkookoma in Butambala. Derrick Birungi and David Opio scored for Butambala and Bulemezi respectively.

Elsewhere, 2021 finalists Buwekula beat Kyadondo by 1-0 at St. Peters Technical Grounds. Bluncher Mulamba scored for the home team.
