After the expiry of Wasswa Bbosa’s employment contract, Uganda Premier league side Mbarara City FC have named Charles Livingstone Mbabazi as their new head coach.

Mbabazi returns to Mbarara City on a two year employment contract to replace Bbosa who served as head coach at the Ankole Lions during the just concluded season.

The former Express FC, SC. Villa and Tooro United tactician Bbosa joined Mbarara City on a one year employment contract.

His contract expired at the end of the 2023/24 season and both parties considered not to renew.

Since his departure from Vipers SC in April this year, Mbabazi has been without a club.
Under Bbosa, Mbarara City finished 10th on the table with 32 points.

The new Steward Mbabazi has previously served at Lweza FC, Masavu FC, Wakiso Giants, Onduparaka FC, Kyetume FC, Uganda Revenue Authority FC, Arua Hill and Vipers SC.
