As a way of strengthening their squad ahead of the 2021/2022 season, Wakiso Giants has signed Titus Ssematimba from Regional side Black Star FC.

The youngster has joined the Purple Sharks on a long term contract.

According to the 18-year old, joining Wakiso Giants is a great step on his career.

“It’s a great step in my future and am delighted to be joining a club with young talented ambitious players,” Ssematimba was quoted by the club’s official website.

“Am here to learn and improve and also help the team achieve its goals,” he added.

Ssematimba previously featured for Buddu in the Masaza Cup is predominantly an attacking midfielder who can play in the central as well as out wide.

According to head coach Douglas Bamweyana, Ssematimba is a real potential for big things at the club.

“Tito offers an attacking midfield directness with his competencies on the ball which is a touch different from the options we have coupled with a work rate without the ball. He is a real potential for big things,” Bamweyana said.

Ssematimba has joined Moses Aliro and Matsiko Grant who joined Wakiso Giants in this transfer window.
