The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games II championship has witnessed an impressive start by defending champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana in the CAF U14 Girls football qualifiers.

The Zana-based school secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Bukedea Comprehensive School at St. Peter’s College grounds in Tororo.

St. Noa’s Dominant Performance

Mary Ankata opened the scoring with a thunderous long-range strike, showcasing her skill and technique.

Team captain Lilian Nabukeera sealed the victory with a clinical finish, demonstrating her composure and confidence on the field.

This win marks a strong start for St. Noa, who will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches.

Upcoming Fixtures

St. Noa will face Kawempe Muslim Secondary School this Tuesday, while Bukedea Comprehensive School will take on Kawempe Muslim Secondary School today in the tournament’s second game at St. Peter’s College grounds.

The round-robin format tournament will feature each team playing each other on a home-and-away basis, with the team accumulating the most points after four games set to be crowned champions.

CAF Schools Tournament Qualifiers

The champions of this tournament in both girls’ and boys’ categories will qualify for the CAF Schools tournament qualifiers for the CECAFA region, scheduled to take place in Rwanda in December.

This adds an extra layer of excitement and motivation for the participating teams.
