With a landslide 12-0 victory over Kira SS in their group A final game, defending champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana reached the quarter final stage of the ongoing USSSA Fresh Diary Games Qualifiers of Wakiso district.

 

The Zana based side managed a slim 1-0 quarter-final win over Fairway High School to storm semi final stage.

 

Gigantic forward Nancy Mandera scored the only goal for St. Noa Girls-Zana to set up a semi-final tie against a free scoring Taggy High School Entebbe.

 

Meanwhile, free scoring Taggy High School Entebbe continues with their sublime form which saw them thump Aiden College 4-0 in the third quarter final.

Leading top scorer Kamiyat Naigaga scored a brace and a goal from Florence Asiimwe and new talent Gloria Nasuuna to seal a semi final slot.

 

Taggy will face off with St. Noa Girls-Zana in a highly anticipated epic semi final tie tomorrow.

 

Rines SS who registered a hard fought 5-4 victory against Hope Bbira after penalties following a goalless normal time draw will lock horns with Wakiso Hill in the second semi-final.

 

Group C leaders Wakiso Hill beat Light SS and Vocational Bulenga 9-0 in the last semi final of the day.

Cathy Tibasiima, Sylvia Namiwanda, Jerida Nanyonjo jerida grabbed a brace each whilst Patricia Nayiga, Shadia Naluwooza and Loy Ndagire supplemented with a goal each to seal a semi final slot for Wakiso Hill.

 

Goal poacher Kamiyat Naigaga is currently the top goal scorer of the tournament with 21 goals in four games.
