The 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Elite Games boys football tournament has hit semi-final stage.

Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA), Jinja SS, Kawempe Muslim and Westville are the four sides in this year’s semi-final stage.

With a group stage finish of a 3-0 victory against Westville, JIPRA stormed semi-finals as group B leaders to book a date with Kawempe Muslim.

James Jerieko was the day’s hero for JIPRA with a hat-trick.

Kawempe progressed to the last four as group A runners up following a 2-all draw against host and group leaders Jinja SS.

Alvin Mutiibwa, Gatloak Boum scored for Kawempe Muslim whilst Foozi Hakim netted a brace for Jinja SS.

Meanwhile, money bags Bukedea Comprehensive won 4-0 against Jinja College. Despite the win, Bukedea saw exit from the tournament after their third place finish.

In the semi-final, Jinja SS lock horns with Westville and JIPRA will face Kawempe Muslim in the last semi-final.
