The matchday thirteen of the Startimes Uganda Premier League continues today as URA FC hosts Lugazi FC at the Nakivubo Stadium.

In what is expected to be an end-to-end encounter, the hosts will be hunting for their second consecutive victory for the first time this season.

The visitors, Lugazi FC, have gone five straight games without a win, drawing all five matches, and will be seeking a victory on the road.

Lugazi FC has fond memories of the Nakivubo Stadium, having collected three points when they visited Express FC earlier this season.

In their last games, URA FC defeated Express 2-1, while Lugazi FC played to a 1-1 draw with Mbarara City.

Lugazi FC

Coming into this fixture, the two teams have never met in the league, but their only meeting was in a 2020 Uganda Cup, where URA FC put four past Lugazi FC without reply.

Lugazi FC sits 12th on the summit with 13 points, and a victory will take them one place up, leapfrogging Kitara FC.

For the Tax Collectors, a win will propel them to 4th position with 21 points.

URA FC’s head coach, Alex Isabirye, is currently unwell, and his assistant, Richard Kasule, is away attending CAF A exams. As a result, goalkeeping coach Jamil Damba will take charge of the team for this fixture.

URA FC will be without the services of goalkeepers Denis Otim and Abdu Magada, as well as suspended player Hudu Mulikyi.

Midfielders Isma Mugulusi, Emmanuel Okech, Lugolobi Shafiq, George Masembe, and Nicholas Kabonge will also be unavailable for selection.

On the other hand, Lugazi FC has a full squad available for selection.
