Uganda Premier League record champions SC. Villa bounced back to the top of the table after a 1-0 victory against Blacks Power at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Charles Bbale’s second half goal was enough to see the record champions through to the top of the table as well as relegating Blacks Power FC.

Bbale is the club’s leading scorer with 12 goals one behind the league top scorer Allan Kayiwa.

The victory means SC Villa need to win their last game of the season against URA FC on Saturday 27th May to be crowned champions of the Uganda Premier League.

They top the table with 52 points two above Vipers SC and KCCA FC in the second and third positions respectively.

Vipers played to a one all draw with BUL whilst, KCCA and Busoga United drew 0-0.

Jackson Magera’s SC. Villa charges last won the UPL title in 2004.

With the Uganda Premier League climax on Saturday 27th May, SC Villa will host URA at Wankulukuku, Vipers SC play Busoga United at Kitende while KCCA host Soltilo Bright Stars at Lugogo.

Blacks Power FC and Onduparaka FC are already relegated to the FUFA Big League.
