Matchday thirteen of the Startimes Uganda Premier League kicked off with a thrilling encounter between BUL FC and NEC FC, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

The visitors, NEC FC, dropped vital points on the road, which could see them relinquish their top spot in the table by Friday.

Cromwell Rwothomio scored for NEC FC in the 38th minute, expertly heading home a beautifully delivered ball by defender Gadafi Wahab.

However, the hosts, BUL FC, fought back in the second half, determined to find the equalizer.

Their persistence paid off in the dying minutes of the game, as defender Nicholas Mwere scored the leveller with just one minute remaining on the clock.

The draw means NEC FC remain atop the table with 27 points, but Vipers SC could leapfrog them with a win on Friday.

BUL FC, on the other hand, are now 10th with 16 points, only seven points above the relegation zone.

The Startimes Uganda Premier League continues tomorrow, Thursday, with two exciting fixtures: Police FC hosting Maroons FC in Kavumba, and Lugazi FC visiting URA FC in Nakivubo.
