In the early kick-off on Saturday, matchday ten of the Startimes Uganda Premier League, Lugazi FC held KCCA FC to a 1-1 draw.

Sadat Anaku scored for KCCA FC, while Derrick Mwanjje netted the equalizer to force a draw.

KCCA FC had a better first half, with Usama Arafat, Etienne Katenga, Ashraf Mugume, and Sadat Anaku all having chances to score, but Lugazi’s goalkeeper and defense were equal to the test.

Lugazi’s Nelson Mandela had a chance to score in the first half, but his shot was blocked by defender Ibrahim Juma.

Inside the first three minutes of the second half, Sadat Anaku put the visitors in the lead with a beautiful goal.

Anaku received the ball from Usama and took a powerful shot from outside the box to find the top right corner.

In the 71st minute, goalscorer Sadat Anaku doubled the lead for the hosts, but his goal was cancelled by the assistant referee due to offside.

Six minutes later, Lugazi got the equalizer from Derrick Mwanjje after KCCA failed to clear the corner kick out of danger, and Mwanjje punished them.

The hosts went into defensive mode to avoid conceding a late goal, which they succeeded in doing, and the two sides shared the spoils in Lugazi.

After the draw, KCCA FC remains in third place with 19 points, while Lugazi is 12th with 11 points.

Matchday ten of the Startimes Uganda Premier League concludes tonight with one game, as Vipers host Kitara in Kitende.
