KCCA FC were 3-2 winners over Arua Hill SC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The Cityzens took an early lead through Muhammad Shaban who nodded home off Rogers Mato’s good delivery into the box.

Seven minutes later, Shaban doubled KCCA’s lead when he capitalized on lapse by Arua Hill’s defenders and slotted past Richard Anyama.

In the 16th minute, Arua Hill pulled one back through Isaac Ogwang who tapped the ball in the back of the net.

Arua Hill’s Bright Vuni was then cautioned for a foul on Shaban Muhammad in 20th minute.

Kankonde would then miss a chance to stretch KCCA FC’s lead when he headed wide off Okello’s well taken cross down the right flank in the 28th minute.

Rogers Mato was cautioned for a foul on Arua’s Innocent Media at the half hour mark.

Five minutes after recess, Usama Arafati and Ashraf Mugume replaced Emma Wasswa and Moses Waiswa.

Okello would then miss a goal with the goal keeper Anyama at his mercy in the 53rd minute.

Rogers Mato stretched KCCA’s lead when he controlled a good ball from Okello and he shot past Anyama to make it 3-1 KCCA FC at the hour mark.

Gadafi Wahab scored from a free kick to reduce the deficit for Arua Hill SC.

Morley rung more changes introducing Peter Magambo and Charles Lwanga for Geoffrey Wasswa and Shaban Muhammad who was cautioned as he left the pitch in 85th minute.

Kizza Mustafa replaced Kankonde in added time but the former got injured and had to leave the pitch before the end of the game.

The result means that KCCA FC maintained its position on the summit of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on 35 points from 16 games.
