Wakiso Giant will host table leaders KCCA at Wakissha as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League second returns this Thursday.

The two sides are separated by just four points despite the Purple Sharks sitting 4th on the 15-table following their performance in the first round.

The fixture will see a couple of our players take on their former bosses.

Tom Masiko, Bashir Ssekagya, Moses Aliro and new signing Paul Willa have all played at KCCA before and will be desperate to impress.

“We were a little pleased with our performance in the first round. Kasule was one of our best players and although we shall miss him, we can’t use that as an excuse to stop performing.”

“We have players within that we feel can replicate what he did in the youngsters Marvin Nyanzi, Marvin Mukiibi and Titus Ssematimba to give us results.”

We are playing a good side with quality but we have a motivator that we are playing at home where we have done well so and we feel the home crowd will push us,” Ayala said.

Team News

U-20 Afcon bound defenders Ronald Madoi and Apollo Kagogwe as well as midfielder Titus Ssematimba are unavailable for the game.

Lincoln Mukisa could wait a little longer for his debut as his license is still pending.

Besides, the rest of the squad is available from which the coaches will make a selection.

The Opposition

Coach Morley Byekwaso has spoken highly of our lads and expects a stiff challenge

“They are in fourth position and the difference between them and us shows how tough the encounter will be,” he stated.

Ashraf Mugume, Julius Poloto, Denis Iguma (doubtful), Peter Magambo (documentation) could miss out on the encounter.

Head to Head

There have been five league meetings against KCCA FC with us winning once, lost three and drawn the other.
