Police registered their first StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) game the of 2021/22 season after dispatching Busoga United 3-1 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday.

The Cops finally pulled off maximum points after 10 failed attempts, and this has them leave the bottom of the table for the first time in a long time.

Arafat Kakonge and substitutes Brian Muruli and Juma Balinya netted for the policemen, who had to fight from a goal down after falling behind Anwar Ntege’s first half penalty.

The Cops drew level on the stroke of half time through Kakonge, with Muruli adding Police’s second on 66 minutes before Balinya put it beyond doubt from 12 yards.

This was Police’s first since beating MYDA 6-1 in April. The Cops now move one place up from the bottom of the table to 15th,  from the base to 15th on six points. Busoga are just a place and point above Police.
