Bright Stars registered a 3-0 win against BUL FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League game played at Kavumba recreational centre on Friday.

The victory saw Bright Stars move out of the relegation zone.

Goals from Ibrahim Kasinde who netted a penalty in first half, Joseph Janjali and Jungu Methodius saw the hosts walk away with three points.

Marvin Youngman saw his way past a couple of defenders before he was fouled in the box for referee Shamirah Nabadda to award a penalty. Kasinde stood up ans scored in the 37th minute to put Bright stars ahead.

In the 49th minute, Janjali scored with a powerful shot from outside the penalty box past debutant goalkeeper John Okurut for the hosts to double their lead.

Midfielder Jungu Methodius came off the bench to replace Janjali and his presence was quickly felt when he netted the third for Bright Stars after being set up by Nelson Ssenkatuka to decorate a 3-0 win.

The win saw Bright Stars move out of relegation zone to sit in the 12th position with 19 points while BUL remain in the fourth place with 33 points despite losing.
