2022/23 Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have completed a double after defeating Police FC 1-0 at Akibua Stadium in Lira to emerge champions of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Captain Milton Karisa’s was enough to seal Vipers SC’ champions a side that was playing their third consecutive final

The championship is the third for the Venoms they Previously won it in 2016 and 2021.

Alex Isabirye who has won three championships in two years now counts four Uganda Cup trophies having won it with URA FC, SC Victoria University, BUL FC last year and now with Vipers SC.

Isabirye joins a list of coaches that have won the two in Ugandan football

The others are Micho Sredojevic (Villa), Polly Ouma (Villa), Paul Hasule (Villa), Geoff Hudson (Villa) and Jimmy Muguwa (Express FC)

Champion- Vipers SC
Runners up- Police FC
Best goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora- Vipers SC
Best defender- Ashraf Mandela Vipers SC
Best midfielder-Missi Diego Ssemugera Police.
