Vipers SC have stormed 2021 Stanbic finals after their 2-0 win against Police FC to hand new head coach Roberto Oliviera a perfect start to life.

Congolese striker Ceaser Manzoki scored a brace at FUFA Technical in Njeru on Tuesday September 21st.

Manzoki’s first goal came as a result of Hassan Muhamud’s lazy clearance before slotting into the back of the net in the 20th minute of the game.

In the 22nd minute, Disan Galiwango almost found the bottom corner with his shot at goal however goalkeeper Tom Ikara denied the left back-cum-winger.

Vipers was at it again in the 30th minute with a glorious chance for Milton Karisa, a mistake from the Police FC defence saw Milton Karisa through and puts the ball over the bar.

In the 47th minute, Manzoki broke through the defence and took on the shot with just the goalkeeper to beat, but  Ikara managed to dive down low and tip the ball away for a corner.

Manzoki then doubled the Venoms’ lead in the 52nd minute as he lashed onto a Bobosi Byaruhanga pass to fire-low-past the poor Ikara who played almost the entire match with a leg injury, sustained in the first minute.

Watambala was at it in the 81st minute with a beautiful ball over the top to Ibrahim Orit who saw the goalkeeper off his line but Orit’s looping ball is inches over the crossbar.

Vipers will face off with the winner between Express FC and BUL FC who face off in the other semi-final.

Police FC: Tom Ikara (GK), Hassan Mahmood, Tonny Mawejje, Yusuf Ssozi, Ruben Kimera, Samuel Kayongo , Muwada Mawejje, Eric Ssenjobe, Herman Waswa, Duncan Seninde, Kiryowa.

Vipers SC: Fabien Mutombora (GK), Paul Willa, Disan Galiwango, Bashir Asiku, Livingstone Mulondo, Siraje Ssentamu, David Bagoole, Bobosi Byaruhanga, Milton Kalisa, Yunus Ssentamu, Ceaser Manzoki.
