SC Villa comfortably beat the Gulu based Super Eagles FC 0-3 in their Round of 64 tie to set up a meeting with Express FC in the Round of 32.

Nicholas Kabonge gave visitors SC Villa a first half lead in 43 minutes before Sadam Ibrahim Juma doubled it from the spot at the beginning of the second half in 57th.

Amir Kakomo then added to the scoreline in 90th to seal a 0-3 victory for the Jogoo.

SC Villa who are 9-time winners now progress to the Round of 32 of this season’s Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup where they face Express FC who have won the trophy a record 10 times.

The dates for that fixture between the two Uganda football historical giants is to be confirmed in the course of the week.
It should be remembered that SC Villa’s tie against Super Eagles has on two occasions been postponed.

The first postponement came due to Cranes schedules during the Europe/Asia tour where SC Villa player were on national duty.

Recently last month, the tie was postponed for the second time as SC Villa’s contingent to Gulu for the tie got involved in a road accident, leaving numerous players and technical team members with minor injuries.
