St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana storms knockouts with emphatic win

East African Secondary Schools champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana has stormed into the knockouts of the Wakiso District qualifiers with a resounding 13-0 victory over Comprehensive SS Kitetika in their final Group A match.

Esther Babirye scored four goals, while Evelyn Katusiime and Faith Nalwadda each scored a hat-trick. Teddy Nantongo Namata, Dorah Nangobi, and Grace Kawino added to the tally, securing St. Noa’s emphatic win.

The defending champions topped Group A with 9 points, earning a spot in the Round of 16, where they will face neighbors Light High School Sseguku.

Last year’s finalists Rines SS, who led Group F, will take on Mary’s Mount SS, while Taggy High School will clash with Light College Katikamu.

Other Round of 16 fixtures include Standard High School-Zzana vs. Hope SS, Buddo Christian vs. Rayan Islamic, Aidan College vs. Kakungulu High School, God Cares vs. Fairway, and London College-Nansana vs. Alliance High School in a Nansana zone derby.

All Round of 16 games will be played this morning, followed by the quarter-final matches this afternoon.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana are the defending champions, having won the trophy last year with a 2-1 victory over Rines SS in the final.

– Standard High School-Zzana vs. Hope SS
