Uganda Premier League best coaches Sam Ssimbwa and Mike Mutebi are set to face off in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League All Star game.

The game which will act as the 2021/2022 season curtain raiser will be played on September 27, 2021.

The initiative, first of its kind, has been made possible by league sponsors StarTimes, Dubymax Electronics and Sanyuka tv who will air the match live.

Fans will vote for their UPL clubs stars who will take place in the much anticipated game and the voting will be on until September 18th.

The players from the 16 top flight clubs that played last season and the 3 newly promoted clubs for the forthcoming season will be eligible to play this match.

“I am previlledged to be part of this team, mine will be Team Hasule and he was my captain on the national team. We are also happy that we have been nominated. I urge all fans to voted for their best players,” Ssimbwa said.

Meanwhile, according to Mutebi, this is a special opportunity for the two coaches especially during this time when they are out of jobs.

“We are out of jobs but we are special, this is a good intervention to sell players, for the last ten years we have failed to nurture young players,” Mutebi said.

According to Isma Lule, the Brand Marketing and director StarTimes they zeroed down on Ssimbwa and Mutebi after wide consultations from the league legends.
