Soltilo Bright Stars, Vipers SC and Big League side Mbarara City all progressed to the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after overcoming their respective opponents

Last year’s finalists Vipers SC eliminated Big League side Jinja North United FC 7-6 in spot kicks after both sides playing to a goalless draw at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja.

Soltilo Bright Stars also progressed to the next round on 4-3 spot kicks after a one all full-time draw with ten man Mbale Heroes

Emmanuel Loki scored for Soltilo Bright Stars first before Junior Mukisa equalising for the Regional side.

Mbale Heroes Amos Etojo did not complete the game after being given matching orders in the second half.

Henry Kitegenyi’s sole goal helped Mbarara City FC overcome Admin FC at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.

Kitegenyi converted from the spot in the 66th minute after he was put down in the forbidden area

Mbarara City, Soltilo Bright Stars and Vipers SC joined Kitara FC and Wakiso Giants at the round of 32.
