She Corporate FC has swept the December Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super Monthly Awards, with head coach Ininahazwe Belyse and forward Jesca Namanda taking home the Best Coach and Best Player of the Month accolades, respectively.

The awards ceremony was held on Monday morning at Twed Plaza, the headquarters of Finance Trust Bank, the official sponsor of the league.

Ininahazwe edged out Uganda Martyrs’ Edward Kasozi Ssozi and Makerere University’s Fred Ndawula to claim the coaching accolade, thanks to her team’s impressive run in December.

She Corporate registered three wins from three matches, defeating St Noa Girls, Kampala Queens, and Rines SS WFC, and finished the first round of the league in second place.

Jesca Namanda was outstanding in December, scoring four goals in three matches and earning one Woman of the Match accolade, highlighted by a hat-trick against Kampala Queens at Lugogo.

“I am grateful to win this accolade. It was a team effort and the commitment we have to achieve our goals,” she said, in tears of joy, after receiving the award.

“This award challenges me to do even better, and I also thank FUFA and Finance Trust Bank for injecting money into the game to motivate us.”

Namanda and Ininahazwe each received trophies and a cash prize of UGX 500,000.

In the media category, Aminah Namutebi of FUFA Media Services and Solomon Ssaka of NBS Sport were named Best Journalists of the Month, walking away with a cash prize of UGX 250,000 each.
