In a heartwarming ceremony held at his residence, Real Star Sports Agency in conjunction with Fortebet and Jude Color Solutions presented a Life Achievers’ Award to 72-year-old Abbey Nasur, a legendary figure in Ugandan football.

The award was handed over to Nasur by Mukasa Isaac, the Chief Executive Officer of Real Star Sports Agency, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the sport.

Nasur, who started playing football in the Naguru Youth team, went on to play for five teams before winning three CECAFA titles with the Uganda Cranes in 1973, 1976, and 1977. He also represented the country at two Africa Cup of Nations in 1974 and 1978.

Nasur’s achievements on the pitch have left a lasting impact on Ugandan football.

Nasur, who has been ailing for some time, was visibly elated by the recognition.

“I thank you for this accolade, and for always remembering me,” he said, expressing his gratitude to the Real Star Sports Agency.

The award is a testament to Nasur’s dedication and passion for the sport.

The Life Achievers’ Award is one of several accolades presented by Real Star Sports Agency in its August edition.

The rally crew of Ponsiano Lwakataka and Paul Musaazi was recognized for their outstanding win in the UMC Fort Portal Tourism city rally, while Rogers Torach, the captain of the Uganda Cranes, was honored for guiding the team to the quarterfinals of the CHAN tournament.
