The FUFA Odilo final Qualifiers tie of Buikwe District Football Association (DFA) is set to reach its climax this Sunday evening, June 22nd, at Butema Playground.

Rays of Grace Junior School and SACU Nursery and Primary School will lock horns in the highly anticipated final, with the winner earning a spot in the Buganda Region finals in Masaka later this year.

Group Stage Results

The Buikwe District Qualifiers, which began on Thursday, June 19th, featured six teams divided into two groups.

Rays of Grace dominated Group A, winning both of their matches to secure a spot in the final.

They began with a 1-0 win over Njeru Best Quality, courtesy of a Douglas Kawuma goal, and followed up with a convincing 3-0 thrashing of St. Joseph Primary School.

Kawuma scored again, while Sula Matovu and Darren Kyeswa added to the tally.

SACU’s Journey to the Final

SACU Nursery and Primary School topped Group B with four points from two games.

They started with a 2-0 win over Victorious Junior School and then played out a goalless draw against Kitigoma Primary School.

Despite having fewer points than Rays of Grace, SACU’s performance in the group stage was still impressive, and they will be looking to cause an upset in the final.

A Rematch of Last Year’s Final

The final between Rays of Grace and SACU will be a repeat of last year’s Buikwe District final, which SACU won 1-0 in Nyenga.

Rays of Grace will be looking to avenge their loss and claim the championship title, while SACU will aim to defend their crown.

The final match promises to be an exciting encounter, with both teams looking to emerge victorious and represent Buikwe District in the Buganda Region finals.

Selected Results

Some notable results from the group stage include:

– SACU 2-0 Victorious Junior School

– Kitigoma Primary School 0-0 SACU

– Rays of Grace Junior School 1-0 Njeru Best Quality

– St. Joseph Primary School 0-3 Rays of Grace Junior School
