Vipers SC right back Paul Willa has had a successful surgery on his left achilles tendon and this will keep him out of action for approximately two to three months.

The Cranes international sustained the injury to his tendon after the StarTimes Uganda Premier League match with Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Wednesday, March 2nd at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

An assessment with a specialist confirmed the need for an operation and the 22-year-old had successful surgery to his tendon in Entebbe on Thursday afternoon.

Willa will now commence his injury rehabilitation programme with the Vipers medical team.

He joined Vipers in 2019 and has been a starter since then.
