Masaza Cup: Wankulukuku to host Buddu, Busiro 2022 final tie

The Buganda Masaza Cup organizing committee have finally confirmed Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in Kampala to host the 2022 finals.

The highly anticipated Masaza Cup final tie between noisy giants Buddo and Busiro will be held on 4th March.

Defending champions Buddu will aim at winning a back to back accolade as they lock horns with 2019 runners up Busiro in the final.

 

Buddu prevailed to their third successive final after eliminating Bulemeezi on away goal’s rule following a 2-2 aggregate stalemate.

Busiro on the other hand powered past two time winners Ssingo 4-3 on aggregate.

Buddu have previously won the prestigious competition two times (2016 and 2021) while Busiro have never won the competition.

The tickets will soon hit markets after the Thursday’s press conference at Bulange, in Mengo.

Tickets will go for 20,000 (ordinary) and VIPs will be bought at 50,000 Uganda shillings.

His majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will grace the epic final.
