Kitara FC has moved to an online-only ticketing system for its CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round encounter against Egyptian giants Al Ahly on October 17, in a bid to improve ticket management and draw a capacity crowd at Hoima City Stadium.

The much-anticipated continental fixture is scheduled for a 4:00pm kick-off, with Kitara targeting a turnout of up to 17,000 supporters.
The club unveiled the ticketing arrangements at a press conference at Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala on Thursday, attended by president Deo Kasozi, CEO Joshua Atugonza and Marketing and Events Manager Andrew Kaahwa.
Unlike previous matches, supporters will not be issued physical tickets.
All tickets must be purchased electronically, with ordinary entry priced at UGX20,000 and VIP tickets at UGX100,000.
The club says the digital system is intended to enhance the match-day experience, improve ticket monitoring and minimise some of the challenges experienced during its previous continental fixture.

Kitara hosted about 15,000 fans for its last major home game and has now secured an allocation of 17,000 places for the Al Ahly clash.
To ensure supporters are not excluded by the shift to digital ticketing, the club will establish support points in Hoima and surrounding areas.
Monitoring desks will also be deployed to assist fans who encounter difficulties while purchasing or accessing their tickets.
Kitara said its decision was partly informed by the successful use of digital ticketing at Uganda Cranes matches and other recent fixtures, while also viewing the initiative as preparation for Ugandan supporters ahead of AFCON, where electronic ticketing is expected to become increasingly prominent.

The stadium will open its gates at 10:00am, six hours before kick-off. VIP ticket holders will be issued parking stickers, with the club expected to announce additional VIP packages.
Fans unable to secure stadium tickets will not be left out of the occasion, as Kitara plans to establish a fan zone outside the stadium where supporters can watch the match.
The club is also working with supporters from different regions to organise transport to Hoima, hoping to turn the fixture into a nationwide football gathering.
On the pitch, Kitara remains confident of competing against the Egyptian powerhouse, drawing encouragement from previous occasions when Ugandan sides have managed to overcome Al Ahly.
The home side will travel from Entebbe to Hoima by domestic flight, while Al Ahly is also expected to fly to Hoima.
Kitara confirmed that all its players except head coach Bbosa, who is not a player, have been licensed for the competition.
The club has further put UGX400 million aside as a qualification bonus for the playing squad should Kitara reach the group stage, with additional performance incentives available even if the team fails to progress.
Off the pitch, Kitara expects a fresh consignment of club jerseys to arrive by the end of next week. The club currently has no jerseys available at its offices.
With all 17,000 places available for the encounter, Kitara is calling on supporters from across Uganda to make the journey to Hoima and create a packed continental atmosphere.
