Deo Kasozi has stepped down as president of Kitara FC, bringing an end to his highly successful chapter in the club’s history.

Gilbert Nyiaka has been appointed as the interim president, tasked with leading the club as it prepares for the upcoming season.

During his three-year tenure, Kasozi oversaw a remarkable transformation at Kitara FC.

The club’s triumph in the 2023/2024 Uganda Cup was a highlight, earning the team a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup and cementing Kasozi’s legacy.

Earlier, Kasozi had masterminded Kitara’s promotion to the Uganda Premier League, guiding the team to the FUFA Big League title in the 2022/2023 season.

Kasozi’s leadership brought stability, ambition, and a clear vision to the club, establishing a strong foundation that has attracted top talent and inspired passionate support from fans.
