KCCA FC has secured a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Bright Stars, with a first-half brace from Bright Anukani and goals from Arafat Usama, Saidi Mayanja, and a late strike by João Gabriel.

The win lifts KCCA FC to fourth place on the table with 34 points from 21 games, while Bright Stars remain winless in the league since December, languishing in 15th place with 12 points from 21 matches.

The match got off to a lively start, with Arafat Usama having his goal disallowed within the first 10 minutes.

However, it was only a matter of time before KCCA FC broke through.

Seven minutes later, Bright Anukani opened the scoring, slotting home off a Saidi Shafik Nana assist.

The hosts continued to push for a second goal, but Saidi Mayanja missed an open net after beating goalkeeper Were.

Arafat Usama doubled the advantage just moments later, heading in a well-delivered cross from Shafik Nana.

The hosts maintained their dominance, with Arafat Usama turning provider for Saidi Mayanja, who worked well with youngster Yian Gatbel to make it 3-0.

Bright Anukani sealed his brace six minutes before halftime, scoring from a perfectly delivered free kick that left goalkeeper Were helpless.

The second half saw Nelson Ssenkatuka come close to pulling one back for Bright Stars, but Mugoloofa stood firm between the posts.

The game was effectively sealed when Brazilian forward João Gabriel tapped in from close range off an Etienne Katenga cross in the final minute.

With this win, KCCA FC will look to maintain their momentum when they visit Kitara FC at the Royals Park in Hoima.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars will host Police FC in a bid to revive their survival hopes.
