After a decade of loyalty and dedication, KCCA FC captain Julius Poloto has mutually parted ways with his childhood club.

Poloto’s departure marks the end of an era for the Ugandan football giant, who has been an integral part of the team’s success since joining the KCCA FC Soccer Academy in 2015.

Poloto’s journey with KCCA FC began under the guidance of coach Mike Hillary Mutebi, who promoted him to the senior team.

He quickly became a fan favorite with his elegant style of play and tireless work rate.

In August 2023, Poloto was handed the full captain’s armband, a testament to the respect he commanded from his teammates and the trust the club placed in him.

Poloto’s talent earned him recognition on the national stage, representing Uganda at the U17, U20, and U23 levels.

He was later called up to the senior national team, the Uganda Cranes, where he featured in several matches.

During his time at KCCA FC, Poloto won multiple Uganda Premier League titles in 2017 and 2019, as well as the Uganda Cups in 2017 and 2018.

He was also part of the team that won the CECAFA Kagame Cup in 2019, FUFA Super 8 in 2018, and FUFA
