Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC has made a significant addition to their squad with the signing of prolific striker Latifah Nakasi from Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC.

Nakasi has joined the Valley Warriors on a two-year employment contract, bringing her impressive goal-scoring skills to the team.

Nakasi’s impressive form last season, where she scored 10 league goals and won the 2025 FUFA Women’s Cup golden boot with 8 goals, undoubtedly caught the attention of Kawempe.

Her total contribution of 24 goals in all competitions during the 2024/25 season is a testament to her skill and potential.

The deal also includes an option for Uganda Martyrs to receive 40% of any future transfer fee, with the club receiving UGX 4 million upfront.

Nakasi’s experience and success extend beyond her club career.

She has been a key member of the Crested Cranes, Uganda’s national women’s team, and recently won the 2025 CECAFA Women’s Senior Championship bronze medal.

She also won a bronze medal with the U20 team in the 2023 All Africa Games held in Ghana.

Her consistency in scoring goals and providing for others has established her as the league’s top centre-forward.

Kawempe Muslim has been busy in the transfer window, having already unveiled defender Asia Nakibuuka from Kampala Queens and right-back Aminah Nakato from She Corporate FC.

The record champions are expected to make further additions to their squad as they aim to win titles in the 2025/26 season.

With Nakasi’s arrival, Kawempe Muslim is poised to dominate the league and make a strong run for the championship.
