Kawempe Muslim Secondary School are 2024 Buganda Schools Sports competitions girls football champions after their 3-0 triumph against Uganda Martyrs High School – Lubaga in the final.

The final was held at Kawanda Secondary School Grounds on Saturday, the 16th March.

Agnes Nabukenya scored a long range free kick to open the riot. Monica Nanono came through with the second with a tap into an empty net to extend the score to 2-0 before break.

Moreen Kizza connect self as the score board lighted 3-0 for Kawempe Muslim to win the championship.

After leading group A, Kawempe eliminated it’s junior side Kawempe B by 3-0 in the semi-finals to reach the final.

Agnes Nabukenya scored a brace and a goal from Shadia Nabirye as the senior side saw off the juniors in a comfortable win.

Meanwhile, Uganda Martyrs High School beat Caltec Academy – Makerere 1-0 in the semi-final to book a final date with Kawempe Muslim.

Skipper Immaculate Nakanjako scored the only goal of the tie as the Lubaga based Uganda Martyrs sealed a final slot.
