Kampala Queens strengthened their grip on the top spot in the Finance Trust Women Super League with a convincing 3-0 win over Wakiso Hill at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Despite dominating the first half, Kampala Queens were unable to find the breakthrough, with Wakiso Hill’s goalkeeper Halimah Kasuubo producing a series of impressive saves.

However, the second half saw Kampala Queens’ persistence pay off, with Peace Muduwa breaking the deadlock in the 71st minute.

Cathy Nagadya doubled the lead just seven minutes later with a stunning strike, while Zainah Nandede sealed the win in the 83rd minute.

The victory was marred by controversy when Kampala Queens’ head coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal was sent off after a heated exchange with the linesman.

The win maintains Kampala Queens’ position at the top of the league with 37 points, while Wakiso Hill remains at the bottom with just 5 points.
