Uganda Boxing Champions League: Henry Kimuli, Frank Mawanda in week 12 main contest

A feather weight (57kgs) bout between Henry Kimuli Henry of Mutajjazi Boxing Club in Kibuli and COBAP’s Frank Mawanda will be the main fight of week 12 of Uganda Boxing Champions League season 3.

Week 12 contests will be held on Saturday 26th October 2024 at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Kimuli looks forward to maintain his winning run this season having already beaten UPDF’s James Japyem just like Mawanda who earlier beat Kyobe Jonah who recently turned Pro.

Speaking during the face off and official weigh-in in Lugogo, Kimuli termed Mawanda as an Ugly fighter;

“Your fighting style is too ugly to watch.

The last fight you had with Jonah Kyobe was disgusting. If you bring that kind of performance against me you are dead meat” Kimuli.

In return, Mawanda baptized Kimuli a weak boxer and vowed to discipline him in front of his fans.

In some of the other bouts, Lukanga’s Kasujja Richard take on Batte Nuhu of COBAP boxing club while Eddy Mukwaya aka Pastor and Simon Sande will face off in the welter weight 67 kgs Elite.

In the same weight, loud spoken Richard Lukanga’s Kasujja will take on Nuhu Batte of COBAP boxing Club.

East Coast’s Onen Jaffar will contest Frank Kazubgu in the Light Welter weight 63.5 kgs Elite.

Kazungu Frank clinched a week 11 walk over Innocent Amoko who is away in UPDF camp preparing for the Africa Military Games in Nigeria.

On the Women’s side, Lukanga’s Sharua Ndagire aka Pretty boxer will be back in the ring as she faces BII FIT’s Nabbumba Shamim in a Feather weight 57kgs Elite bout.
