Goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya has confirmed his departure from Kenyan side Sofapaka after only four months.

Kigonya posted on all his official social media accounts,

“Hello my friend and followers am notifying you about my departure from Sofapaka FC, It has been a short spell but worth.”

” I am excited about the new opportunities ahead of me however there’s also a big part of me that’s sad to be saying goodbye to the amazing Sofapaka family.”

“I am grateful for having had the second chance to work at Sofapaka, I will never forget the kindness and professionalism of everyone at this club, I wish you the best in the reminder of the season.”

The shot stopper has in the past played for Soana FC ( now Tooro United), Soltilo Bright Stars, Tanzania’s Azam FC, Zambia’s Forest Rangers and Sofapaka (two stincts).
