Express FC forward George Senkaaba claims that his ultimate target is to hit top form after recovering from injury.

The powerful point man has had a quiet start to the league largely due to his recovery from a tendon injury that dates as far back as March last season.

He got injured in the league game away to Kitara FC and he insists he’s taking it a game at a time.

“It’s been a rollercoaster for me, I had to deal with recovering from the injury yet I had hit peak form at the that time in the season but all that is now in the past and I’ve slowly recovered my mojo,” he said before adding.

“The Kagame Cup helped boost my confidence alot so I can’t complain about my start to the new season because I am taking it a game at a time.”

“I have to keep scoring, of course my teammates and the technical team have helped me a lot and I hope it continues, the goal against Police FC was just perfect timing so let’s see what comes on Saturday but we’re all ready to earn maximum points in the derby,” he concluded.

Senkaaba managed six league goals last season before he was cut short with the injury.

He also played a pivotal role as Express FC picked up their first ever CECAFA Kagame Cup title in Dar-es-Saalam, Tanzania in August this year.

The Red Eagles will host arch rivals SC Villa on Saturday 20th November at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
