FUFA Women Super League leaders Kampala Queens saw an end to their 100% winning run following a 1-all draw against Makerere University.

The stalemate was played at IUIU grounds, Kabojja over the weekend.

Gigantic midfielder Shamira Nalujja found the back of the net six minutes into the second half, to send Kampala Queens into a 1-0 lead.

However, the celebration was short lived as Husna Mpanja struck an equalizer for visitors (She-MAK) in the 62nd minute to change the score to 1-1.

The table leaders Kampala Queens are still unbeaten despite seeing an end to their 100% winning run in the league.

The draw extended them to 34 points on top of the 10-team FWSL log after 12 games.

On the other hand, Makerere remained ninth with 12 points, one below the relegation zone as their quest for survival continues.

Kampala Queens’ next opponent is the Lubaga based Uganda Martyrs on Sunday, March 13 at St. Gerald Stadium, while Makerere will visit Kawempe Muslims on the same day at the deadly valley in Kawempe.

In the other games of the day, rejuvenated Kawempe Muslim Ladies beat one time champions Lady Doves 2-0 at the Valley grounds in Kawempe.

Hadijja Nandago and Shakira Nyinagahirwa score the two goals for the Kawempe side as they picked their fourth league win.

The win pushed Kawempe Muslim Ladies to third place on the log with 17 points in 12 games.

Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory against She Corporates in the at MUBS Grounds, Nakawa on Saturday.

Catherine Nagadya was the day’s hero with a brace for the Lubaga based side.

In the previous games, Martyrs lost to Gafford Ladies (1-3) under the guide of their former tactician Rogers Nkugwa.

Nkugwa coached Asubo-Gafford Ladies overcome UCU Lady Cardinals in a tight 3-2 contest.

Over the same weekend, Rines took care of Olila with a 2-0 triumph.
