The FUFA Women’s Cup quarterfinal replay between Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and She Corporate FC is set to determine which team will progress to the semifinals.

After a 1-1 draw in the initial match, the teams went straight to penalty kicks instead of playing the required extra time, and She Corporate eliminated Kawempe on penalties.

Immediately,  Kawempe petitioned the incident and the FUFA Disciplinary Panel ruled in Kawempe’s favor, ordering a replay of the 30 minutes of extra time that was initially skipped.

The replay is scheduled for today, with the winner set to face St. Noa GFC in the semi-finals.

The teams dramatically faced each other yesterday in their last league game, ending in a 1-1 draw at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

The question remains whether players who featured prominently in Saturday’s league match will be able to withstand the physical and mental demands of playing extra time in the Cup tie.

If the score remains level after extra time, the match will proceed to a penalty shootout to determine the winner.

She Corporate are the current holders of the FUFA Women’s Cup, having edged out Rines on penalties in last year’s final.

Will Kawempe win in the second chance for Cup chase, or will She Corporate win it again and progress?
