FUFA Big league: NEC go top as pressure continues to pile onto Simbwa after a draw in Jinja

NEC FC smiled to a 1-0 victory against Ndejje University FC to go on top of the FUFA Big League table as Mbarara City,  Police FC and Kitara FC drop points.

NEC FC through captain Marvin Kavuma scored the sole goal as his side was defeating Ndejje University 1-0 to go top of the table with 36 points.

Second placed Mbarara City played to a one all draw with Lugazi FC at the Lugazi Stadium.

The result saw Mbarara City football club drop to the second place on 35 points.

On the other side, Kitara FC played to their third consecutive draw in the second round following a 1-1 in Jinja with Jinja North United FC.

George Senkaaba was the man on target for Kitara FC while Dickson Matata scored for Jinja North United.

Kitara after a stalemate third with 34 points.

The result piles more pressure onto tactician Sam Simbwa Bamweyana who received a rough reception from a section of former tactician Mark Twinamasiko die hard fans since his unveiling.

Fourth placed Police FC also drew 0-0 with Kataka FC at Mbale Stadium to go to 33 points.

All teams will play their next games on Thursday 2nd March
