Mbarara City defeated FUFA Big League debutants Jinja North United FC 2-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara to go top of the table

Jude Ssemugabi and Henry Kitegenyi scored the two goals for Mbarara City in the 56th and 62nd minutes respectively.

Upon victory Mbarara City go to 34 points from 17 games hence occupying the top of the table position.

They take the spot from Kitara FC that has 33 points having played to a one all stalemate with Booma FC a day before in the Bunyoro derby.

Jinja North is not so safe they are 11th on a table of 16 with 20 points.

The Ankole Lions will next visit Lugazi FC on Thursday 23rd February at Lugazi Stadium.

Jinja North United FC will host Kitara FC on the same day at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja
