FTB Awards: Kawempe Muslim Ladies’ trio dominate nominees’ list

The inaugural Finance Trust Bank Women Super awards nominees have been revealed today with three coaches and three players in contest.

Ayub Kiyingi, Nyanzi Medhi and Bulega Faridah have been nominated for the inaugural award of the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League Coach of the Month for October 2024.

Ayub’s side Kawempe Muslim Ladies are on top of the league table with a perfect 12 points from 4 games while Nyanzi Medhi’s Lady Doves are second with 8 points and Amus College are 3rd with 7 also from 4 games.

Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim duo, striker Nabukenya Agnes and goalkeeper Nambuya Josephine are the nominees for the Finance Trust Bank Women Super League Player of the Month together with Uganda Martyrs Lubaga striker Kigongo Angel.

This is the very first time ever that a Coach and Player of the Month are being awarded in Women’s Football in Uganda and each winner walks away with 500,000/- courtesy of Finance Trust Bank.

The Award Ceremony is being held later this week once all the nominees are in the country.
