Hadijjah Nandago (brace), Rebecca Nakato and Shakira Nyinagahirwa with a goal each inspired Kawempe to their third successive win at the national event.

Today’s win came after Kawempe Muslim’s  two day one and two. They labored past Western region side Sheema in a slim 1-0 win.

Crested Cranes midfielder Hadijjah Nandago scored the all important sole goal for the all time champions Kawempe to register a second successive win.

Their first win at this year’s championship was 4-0 against Panyadoli SS. Hadijjah Nandago still was on target thrice.

However, their rival opponents St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana slipped to a goalless draw against Wakiso district reigning champions Taggy High.

Jointly in leadership of group H with Boni Consili who have better goal difference, national defending champions St. Noa have two wins and draw in three games compared to Taggy High School’s two occupying the four place.

Beating Masaka SS by 5-0 in the opening day, St. Noa convincingly thumped Moyo Stars SS 4-1 in day two.

Forward Sylvia Kabene was on target twice, Esther Babirye  and Nancy Mandera with a goal each as the Zana based side registered their second consecutive win in Mbarara.

Two time Wakiso district champions Taggy High School bounced back from day one slip with a 7-0 win against Kiyingi Memorial.

They were held to a 1-all draw by group leaders Boni Consili Girls Vocational School in day one.

The tournament’s surprise package is currently Mukono Parents High School.

They lead group D with a 100% winning record, accumulating 12 points in four games ahead of 2018 champions Gadafi Integrated Academy on nine.

They hold the most number of goals scored by a team both at the entire tournament (18) and single game (10).

In their opener, they beat Rev. Jabulani Issoke Memorial School 10-0.
