Wakiso Giants 1-3 Kitara

Kitara FC came from a goal down to defeat Wakiso Giants 1-3 as their 100% winning run continues in the 2023/24 Startimes Uganda premier league.

The gigantic win for Kitara FC was away from Hoima to Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso City, on Wednesday, the 25th October 2023.

Titus Sematimba sent Wakiso Giants into a 28th minute lead to end the first stanza 1-0 in favor of the hosts.

Forward Denis Omedi levelled matters for Kitara through a header connecting onto Jasper Aheebwa’s free kick just four minutes into the second stanza.

In the 79th minute of play, Jasper Aheebwa extended Kitara’s lead to 2-1 before former Masaza Cup darling Jude Semugabi sealed a 3-1 victory with the third strike under the second minute of added time.

After this win, Kitara FC moved to 15 points in five (5) games. The Royals are atop in Uganda Premier league with goal difference advantage, tied on points with Easter giants Bul FC.

Kitara will host Maroons in Masindi on the 1st November whilst Wakiso Giants will face reigning champions Vipers SC on the 31st October at st Mary’s stadium kitende.

Elsewhere, Wasswa Bbosa’s Mbarara City registered their first win and scored their first goal of the season.

They beat struggling Arua Hill SC 1-0 at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara. Forward Henry Kitegenyi scored the only goal of evening.
