In a thrilling matchday 7 encounter, St. Noa GFC, the newbies, stunned Olila High School 2-0 at Olila Grounds in Soroti, climbing up the table.

Midfielder Patricia Nayiga and debutant Shakirah Kasango were the heroes, scoring the goals that sealed the win.

Nayiga, who was also named the woman of the match, sent the Female Jogoos into a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute, and Kasango’s sublime debut goal in the 47th minute secured the victory.

Olila High School, on the other hand, remained winless with just three draws and three points, languishing at the bottom of the table.

St. Noa GFC’s triumph over Olila High School marked a significant milestone, as it secured their first away win and second overall victory of the season.

Notably, this achievement was further sweetened by the team’s first clean sheet, a stark contrast to their previous six matches, where they had conceded a goal.

League leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC registered a sixth consecutive league victory, defeating Amus College WFC 2-1 at Kawempe Muslim SS Ground.

Agnes Nabukenya’s goal and an own goal from Jazirah Amiya secured the win for Kawempe, who now top the table with 19 points.

Doreen Aujat scored the consolation for visitors Amus College WFC.

In other matchday 7 encounters, Lady Doves FC secured a 3-1 victory over debutants Asubo Ladies FC, with Resty Kobusobozi scoring a brace and Dorcus Kwikiriza adding a third.

Asubo’s Bridget Nabayaza scored a consolation goal.

Meanwhile, Makerere University WFC and She Corporate FC played out a goalless stalemate at Makerere University Grounds.
