Express FC captain and defender Enock Walusimbi has returned to full training.

The 22-year-old has been out of action for at least two months nursing a hip strain injury.

This saw him miss out on International duty but he is now happy to be back on his feet.

“It has been a while for me, I definitely didn’t expect such a bad start to the season but I am happy that I am back to full training.”

“Our medical department has done a tremendous job for me to get back fit so my immediate focus now is to be match fit ahead of the derby.”

“I have no doubt that I will because our next game is a massive fixture and we need to earn maximum points,” he said.

Walusimbi picked up the injury in training after matchday one and has since missed out on four league outings along with the world cup qualifier game between the Uganda Cranes and Kenya.

Speaking about the general condition of his fellow players ahead of the league resumption, Walusimbi stressed the team was in good condition and are ready to keep the momentum going.

“The boys have stepped it up, the break has enabled us to make a few corrections and I believe when the league resumes we shall have no option but to continue with picking up maximum points,” he noted.

Express FC will host arch rivals S.C Villa next on 20th November at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
