In the recently concluded CAF Women’s Champions League held in Morocco, two Crested Cranes defenders were named in the team of tournament.

Aisha Nantongo and Shadia Nankya are two players who made it in the final best eleven of CAF Women’s Champions League Team of the Tournament.

Both players played a key role as their side Masar FC finished third to win the bronze medal in the tournament that ended on Saturday.

Before, Shadia Nankya was named in the best eleven of the group stages after putting up impressive show in the games against Mamelodi Sundowns, CBE and EDO Queens.

Their team Masar beat Nigeria’s EDO Queens on penalties in the third-place playoff to win the bronze medal.

Congolese giants TP Mazembe finished as the champions after beating AS FAR 1-0 in the final.
